![]() ![]() When one of there guys at blueprint told me a slight wobble in the crank was normal, and that the lifters they use take a few days to pump up, I knew I was dealing with a real bunch of con artists. Due to availability of parts and machine shop costs I took a gamble on buying a built engine, and I lost big-time ! I will never ever ever recommend anyone spend their time or money on anything from that company. Thank God for summit racing being a great company to work with. Summit is processing the refund on that engine as we speak. The second engine made so much valve train noise that it sounded like marbles in a dryer on high. The new engine showed up with a new crankshaft, but only had 30lb of compression on cyl #1 and 80 lb on cyl#2. Blueprint agreed to swap me for another engine so I agreed. In all it had only been ran 30-45 minutes total before I pulled it out. ![]() The engine also leaked water from the heads and intake, had several cracks in the back of the block near the cam plug, and the pushrods were dragging on the guide holes in the heads. After hearing that, the deep internal knock and squalling was starting to make more sense. ![]() I paid over 5,000 for a crate engine that had reman internals. After trying several balancers including a fluid damper, I was told by blueprint that the snout could possibly be bent since the engine had a REMAN CRANKSHAFT !!! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The first engine had a very noticeable wobble at the balancer. I bought the 1st of 2 junk cruiser engines back in November of 2022. ![]()
